Adelaide DJ but now Melbourne based – "DJ Femme" has been notoriously noted in the industry as 'the one to watch'. This blonde beauty has had no trouble cementing herself in the DJ Scene and gaining a well respected reputation as a successful dj. Her electrifying club sets and dedication had secured her weekly residencies at Adelaide's hippest Thursday night –Almost Famous @ Apple nightclub and also a main stage/ prime time resident spot at Australia's largest super club- HQ COMPLEX, that she still currently holds.
Spotted by management at Summafieldayze Festival in 2010 it was clear that DJ Femme knew how to set the vibe and feed off the crowd. It wasn't long before word of her talent spread through the industry to record labels. September 2009 Femme was signed to LNG Music / Universal as a chosen artist to mix aria charting compilation "Pump IT – Volume 2". The release was a huge success and charted at number 3 on the Aria Charts sky rocketing her name throughout Australian households. On the promotional tour she featured on Nova Nation as a guest host and was interviewed by every street magazine around the country. Her face and name featured on Video Hits and Channel Ten nationally. The release saw Femme tour every major city and rural area throughout Australia. Her trademark club sets along with the success of her first compilation secured her position to mix the next instalment of "Pump IT" Volume which was released in April 2011. The compilation again skyrocketed to #4 on the Aria Charts..
2011 has held more exciting opportunities for this well demanded female. Selected by SHM and David Guettas record company EMI and She can dj as "One of the top ten female djs in Australia and New Zealand"- Femme continued to climb the clubbing ladder! She co- hosted Channel V in conjunction with She can dj, not to mention appearing in numerous street magazines yet again and being interviewed by radio stations across the country including Nova –nationwide! Commercial radio station network-Austereo- featured her Dj/music mix nationwide as part of their "Party people" show Saturday nights.
On the Dj circuit she has played in some of the countries largest/ best clubs and shared the stage with the countries biggest acts including -IVY, HQ complex, Academy, Discovery, Sorry Grandma, Soho, Apple bar, East nightclub, Fusion and Red Square. Internationally she played for the World Famous Brand in Ibiza, " El Divino" in Floripa, Brazil early March 2011. Gaining huge responses from the crowd it is clear to see why she is high in demand. On the production side, her first release "Time to rock" -signed by Homebrew records and released in April- also featured on Aria chart topping compilation cd "Pump It Vol 3"! A mass achievement for any Dj to reach.
Clearly the most important factor is the tunes for this dedicated DJ. She will tell you its not about looking the package, its about loving what you do and being dedicated to the music and the industry. Charting ARIA charts each week and helping to run the Safari record label also reflects honest dedication and passion to the industry. Add to that a proven reputation in the clubbing scene as one of the talented females around.
